Jay Bachhuber

Jay is a researcher working primarily on game-based learning initiatives, including the Portable Word Play project. Before joining CCT, he worked as a freelance game designer, curriculum designer, and writer on a number of domestic and international educational gaming projects. He’s also managed an after-school program in New York City where students studied game design and partnered with a professional game studio to produce an award-winning video game about Hurricane Katrina. Prior to focusing on games and education, Jay was a journalist specializing in urbanhousing issues. He has a BA in the communication of political economy from the City University of New York, and is a certified Ducati motorcycle mechanic.
